The data indicates that global automated scanning activities have increased by 16.7% year-on-year, now reaching an astonishing 36,000 scans per second.   • Credential Theft: There has been a 500% increase in logs from compromised systems, resulting in over 1.7 billion stolen credentials circulating on the dark web. This has fueled a 42% surge in credential-based targeted attacks.
  • Ransomware Evolution: Ransomware-as-a-Service operations are expanding, with groups like Ransomhub, LockBit 3.0, Play, and Medusa being particularly active. The United States has been the primary target, accounting for 61% of ransomware attacks.
